About

Welcome to Mocoche

Mocoche was born from a love of nature, color, and conscious living. We source our tagua jewelry directly from artisan communities in Ecuador — one of the most biodiverse countries on Earth and the heartland of tagua craftsmanship.

Tagua, known as ‘vegetable ivory,’ is the seed of the Phytelephas palm tree. It grows naturally in the tropical rainforests of South America, and harvesting it requires no deforestation — the seeds simply fall from the tree. For centuries, Ecuadorian artisans have transformed these seeds into stunning jewelry through hand-carving and natural dyeing techniques passed down through generations.

At Mocoche, we work closely with these artisan families to bring their craft to the world. Every purchase directly supports their livelihoods, their families, and the preservation of a centuries-old tradition. We believe fashion should feel good in every sense — beautiful to wear and right for the planet.

Ethical sourcing — we know exactly where every piece comes from

Fair trade principles — artisans are paid fairly for their skill and time

Sustainable materials — tagua is 100% natural, biodegradable, and renewable

Eco-friendly packaging — every order ships plastic-free

Thank you for being part of the Mocoche story. Every piece you wear is a small act of love — for the earth, for the artisan, and for yourself.

    With gratitude,

    The Mocoche Team 🌿
